jonathan drachenberg

Jonathan has played guitar since 2001 and studied casually under a couple of instructors before settling in with Dan Schmuland in 2004. He became inspired to learn his rhythmic, new-age style guitar playing when he came across some online videos of Don Ross in 2007. Since then guitar has been Jonathan's passion.

In 2008 he placed second in the Stony Plain Memorial Composite High School's talent show, and in 2009 he won his school's Battle of the Bands competition single-handedly. Shortly after that, he became involved with U22 and has since been performing when and wherever opportunity arises. In October, 2009, he trumped his previous year's achievement and placed first in his school's talent show.

Jonathan has an amazing passion for music, especially instrumental guitar, and he is working tirelessly to further develop all aspects of his musicianship. Although he mainly plays covers at present, composing his own original music has become a large focus.
