Kayla knew from an early age that singing and performing would be a big part of her life. When she wasn't talking, she was singing and loved to make up silly songs with her dad. Her very first talent show was at the age of six at her school where she sang and danced to "Pearly Shells". She was the hit of the talent show and every year after that.
By the age of 10 she had recorded her first CD titled "My Hearts Beating Country" a collection of classic cover hits along with her original song "My Hearts Beating Country". Kayla is presently working on her second CD which will be a combination of original songs and Classic covers.
Kayla has been a guest performer for three years at the Great Canadian Barn Dance Country Music Festival at Hill Spring Alberta in Southern Alberta, a repeat performer at the Bashaw Festival of Stars Show, and was the opening act for local country artist Dwayne Cannon in Stony Plain Alberta. Her most recent performance was at the Royal Alberta Museum during Alberta Arts Days 2009. |
